Prescription Print/Transmit/None
There is a new default user preference option of “None” that has been added to the existing My Setting “Prescription Print/Transmit” preference.
This is a new option available in the March 2024 upgrade release and newer. When prescribing from the encounter, the prescription “Transmission” method will respect the My Settings preference. If the “Transmission” method of “None” is selected, the prescription will display in the Visit Orders summary/Prescribed Meds List and NOT display on the prescription send queue. Additionally, when prescribing in the encounter, the “Transmission” method of “E-send” and “Fax”, have been combined into one option labeled “Transmit”. By default, any prescription that cannot be transmitted electronically will be sent via fax. For users that prefer to use the legacy Allergies/Medications chart tab to e-prescribe, selecting the default option of “None” will “uncheck” the Print/Transmit box.
